I hate, despise and loathe valentines day. Its a complete and utter farce. Every year I'm forced to listen to constant whining by mentally unstable girls who seem to base their entire existence and importance in life to the amount of valentines they get, whining about not getting any from their boyfriends (and by any i mean gift, you perv!). Get. A. Life.
As i see it its supposed to be a day for when you can express your love for someone? You need one day in the year to do it? One day? You couldn't be bothered to think about them much less call the object of your affection for the remaining 364 days in the year but nooooo, heaven forbid you forget on the 14th of February!
Bah! Humbug.
Valentines day is now the second largest greeting card holiday in the world, second only to Christmas and only by a meager margin. How did love become so commercial? Its like legal prostitution, only here your not terribly sure where you'll end up once you pay.
Please. Do yourself and the rest of the world a favor and not celebrate valentines day. Trees can die for worthier reasons.
And now, a few words (read: mind bending rant) from our fellow non-believers far west.

Definitely blown out of proportion and over commercialized!! It really gets on my nerves how corporations can turn any day into the biggest money making adventure EVER!
